Katy Perry to debut fake eyelash line

Katy Perry, shown flaunting her eyelashes, arrives at the 2011 MTV Europe Music Awards in Belfast, Northern Ireland on Nov. 6.

Did you think she would stop at a perfume and nail color collection? Katy Perry might be going through a divorce, but it isn't slowing her down: the colorful pop star just announced she’s set to launch a fake eyelashes line for Eylure USA.

“As a false lash lover herself, Katy had a very clear idea of what she wanted to achieve and was involved in every step of the design process,” a spokesperson explained in a release.

The collection of four Eylure falsies will be available in February at Ulta.com. (It should be noted that Eylure is the same company that gave us the gift of Guylashes – that’s right, eyelashes for men.)

The collaboration is no surprise: the songstress is often spotted on the red carpet decked out in big, feathery eyelashes, as she’s never been one for subtlety (See: whipped-cream spewing cone bras). While she surely isn't the first star to design something faux and fabulous – such as Jessica Simpson’s fake hair extensions line – we can only imagine hers will be fun, wild and very Perry.

People say Kim Kardashian's eyelashes are scary and look like spiders, but these are even worse! The point of having fake eyelashes is to have them look like you have naturally lush, thick eyelashes, not so that it's obvious you're wearing fake eyelashes!
