Designers are going for the Olympic gold! First, Ralph Lauren announced his plans to create Olympic Village and closing ceremony looks for Team USA, then Stella McCartney unveiled her athletic gear for Team Great Britain. Now, Giorgio Armani is dressing Italy’s athletes in sleek white and midnight blue sportswear. “I am very honored to participate with these great colleagues,” Armani said at the unveiling of his Olympic Village collection. “This will be the most fashionable Olympic Games ever.” We can’t wait to see which designer Team France will wear!

Italy: Giorgio Armani
Instead of working with the traditional Italian flag colors of red, white, and green, Giorgio Armani opted for white and midnight blue. Every Italian Olympic athlete will be issued a set of Armani luggage packed with around 50 pieces of the sportswear, which Armani designed under his EA7 label. While the athletes won't compete in Armani, they will wear the looks for Olympic ceremonies, and while in the Olympic Village.

Great Britain: Stella McCartney
Stella McCartney collaborated with Adidas on Great Britain’s Olympic uniforms, which feature a contemporary take on the British flag. “When I talked to the athletes I asked them: 'Do you feel different when you look good, do you think it enhances your performance?' and they all said 'yes,’” the designer told the BBC."You shouldn't have to sacrifice style for sport."

Call it the great one-day (we hope) lazy eye panic.

It started, apparently, with a story in the Australian tabloid Daily Telegraph, which quoted an Aussie eye doctor as indicting the hair-over-one-eye hairstyles of Cameron Diaz and Nicole Richie (those of us into old movies prefer Veronica Lake), and countless emo boys and girls, as causing lazy eye, or amblyopia.   

Then the story made its way to The Huffington Post. By the time msnbc.com contacted Dr. Leonard Press, the New Jersey eye specialist who co-authored the clinical practice guidelines on amblyopia for the American Optometric Association, the assistant who picked up the phone said “You mean the hair-over-the-eyes thing?”

Press could barely suppress a chuckle.

Amblyopia, a condition of reduced vision in which the brain does not recognize some or all of the information the eye sees, is indeed a serious eye problem, he said, and one of the reasons it’s serious is that, if left untreated in children younger than 7 years old, a very concerted, sometimes difficult, effort has to be made to correct the lazy eye. That’s because after about age 7, the neural and optical mechanisms involved have been well established, and changing them is tough going.

That’s exactly the reason why Nicole Richie is safe.

“The story would only be true,” he explained, “if you had somebody young enough, and if that person never looked out of that eye -- if it was blocked 24-7. The reason it’s false is that you don’t have that constant deprivation.”

The visual system, Press said, “is so well-established” after childhood, that “combing your hair over your eye will not do anything to that system.”

So don’t worry all you emo boys and girls. By the time mother and father give in to whatever hairstyle you want, any eye problems won’t be the result of your comb-over. Laser lights, well, that could be another story.

The June issue of Vogue hits newsstands May 22.

With the London Olympics less than 75 days away, Vogue celebrated by including some of America’s top athletes in the pages of their June issue. 

Swimmer Ryan Lochte has already brought home 6 Olympic medals (3 gold, 2 silver, 1 bronze), and is hoping to aim for even more in London. Don't worry, everyone — his dangerous extracurriculars won't get in the way: “I’m always bruising and scraping things playing basketball and skateboarding,” he told Vogue writer Robert Sullivan. “I’m pretty much a coach’s nightmare.”

Nicknamed “The Lochtenator,” he’s also a fashion industry darling and, according to Vogue, has collected sponsors that range from Speedo to Ralph Lauren “partly because of the number of events in which he is favored, partly because of a penchant for pairing swimsuits with gold bling.”

Track and field hopeful Ashton Eaton leaps over model Karlie Kloss, wearing Oscar de la Renta, in Vogue's June issue.

Olympic hopeful Ashton Eaton, 24, has his eyes set on competing in the decathlon in London. It’s looking good, as the track and field star scored a record-breaking long jump of 8.16 meters at the World Indoor Championships held in Turkey earlier this year.

He’s not alone: His fiancée Brianne Theisen, 24, of Canada, is also an Olympic hopeful. A track and field star in her home country, Theisen holds the Canadian record for the indoor pentathlon with 4,555 points. Eaton admitted to Vogue that Theisen is better at the high jump and she recently gave him some pointers. “It was pretty technical,” he said. “I don’t have a very good approach, and she has a really good approach.”

Jessica Simpson's fashion empire just got another big bump. Of the baby variety. The new mama to baby Maxwell not only had a happy Mother's Day, but a lucrative one as well, as she announced plans Monday morning to expand her already billion-dollar business (no, really) even further, setting her sights on the style of the baby-bumping set, making good on her promise to launch a maternity line.

As if that wasn't enough, E! News has confirmed that Jess and baby daddy Eric Johnson have finally sold the first photos of their darling daughter to the highest bidder. So which magazine made them an offer they couldn't refuse? And just how much are they making from the shots?

Looks like the lucky winner this time around is People magazine, as sources confirm that the glowing parents have accepted a deal to publish the first photos of their baby girl for a cool $850,000. Not a bad chunk of change for baby's first photo shoot.

Meanwhile, as for that other baby of hers -- Jessica Simpson Maternity -- unlike her last major undertaking, this one won't take nine months of gestation.

Instead, the 31-year-old unveiled the everyday line today, and vowed to have the debut collection -- which features maxi dresses, leggings, printed tops, blazers and a generally 1970s vintage feel--in stores by this fall.

"I'm so excited to partner with Destination Maternity to design a collection of fashionable styles that make you look and feel great," she said. "You want to wear clothes that are flattering to your baby bump; you want to show off your bump."

Even better news: the collection is priced starting at just $36 with no piece priced above $100. The line will be available in all 700 of Destination Maternity's stores nationwide. Now that's how you build an empire.

Strikingly similiar? Duchess Kate waving at the wedding of the decade; Princess Felipa of Bavaria, at her less publicized May 12 wedding in Germany.

It’s been a year since Duchess Kate launched many a bridal trend with her elegant, Sarah Burton-designed gown. Since then, there have been numerous knockoffs and homages — including now, it seems, Princess Felipa of Bavaria.

The lesser known Bavarian princess, daughter of Prince Leopold and Princess Ursula, married a commoner (another big royal trend!), film producer Christian Dienst, on Saturday in Steingaden, Germany. Felipa, 31, wore a sparkly tiara and a modest, long-sleeve lace gown — created by Munich designer Natascha Müllerschön — that looks rather similar to Kate’s, no?

Even though they are not seen by many, my boring brown moccasin slippers were really in need of spicing up. So I decided to color-block them with a fun, hot pink in an attempt to rejuvenate their look. Here is my easy how-to tutorial on how you can brighten up yours as well: 

Supplies:

• Small, flat paint brush
• Fabric paint (I used Jacquard Textile paint for natural or synthetic fabrics)  
• Moccasins in need of sprucing

Directions:

1. First, flip up the fringed flap to begin painting. Be careful around the edges to ensure you get a nice clean line.

2. Let the shoes dry for 2 hours, then apply a second coat of paint to guarantee a smooth, all-over color that will pop!

3. After your second coat, let the shoes dry completely before wearing. Viola! Now you can wear your new stylish slippers around the house — even when guests are over.

Tip: I wasn’t concerned about getting paint on the underside of my fringe flaps. However, if you are, you can use binder clips to simply clamp them back while you are painting.

Much has been made of Mark Zuckerberg‘s affinity for hoodies. He’s been put on GQ worst dressed lists and pissed off Wall Street types, but it’s part of his uniform, and for that we commend him. Steve Jobs had his (Issey Miyake!) turtlenecks, Zuck has his hoodies. And now he has a new option for when he wants to appear formal, without compromising his personal style.

Betabrand (a San Francisco-based online retailer — of course) seemed to have had the Facebook CEO in mind when it came up with its Executive Pinstripe Hoodie. The merino wool (“the same exquisite fabric found in fancy-schmancy tailored suits”) hoodie is dry-clean only and has “luxurious tie-cloth lining, comfy ribbed cotton cuffs, and a pair of roomy front pockets.” The $148 sweatshirt certainly gives new meaning to business casual.

While we applaud the winking ingenuity here, we’re inclined to declare you should stick to a regular ol’ cotton/polyester/fleece blend when purchasing a hoodie. Leave the merino wool pinstripes for, well, actual suits. It’s like sneaky sneakers!

The ad shows the olive-skinned Isabeli Fontana deeply bronzed.

H&M made a splash with its new bathing suits, but not in the way the Swedish clothing retailer intended. The company issued an apology yesterday after coming under fire from the Swedish Cancer Society for a series of ads featuring Brazilian model Isabeli Fontana in bright swimsuits and a very, very dark tan. 

"Every year, more people die in Sweden of (skin cancer) than in traffic accidents, and the main cause is too much sunning," the Society wrote in an opinion article in the Thursday edition of Swedish newspaper Dagens Nyheter, according to the AFP.

The group blasted H&M for what it characterized as creating a "deadly" standard of beauty that unduly influenced young people to tan. It said images like the swimsuit ad campaign "contribute to more people dying from skin cancer."

The retailer responded with an apology via email to the media outlet. "We are sorry if we have upset anyone with our latest swimwear campaign. It was not our intention to show off a specific ideal or to encourage dangerous behaviour." While H&M did defend itself by saying the goal was to highlight the bathing suits — as opposed to the color of the model's skin — it also said, "We have taken note of the views and will continue to discuss this internally ahead of future campaigns."

The ads show the olive-skinned Fontana deeply bronzed, an effect that could have been achieved with makeup or digital manipulation instead of via hours in the sun. The Cancer Society did acknowledge that it was possible that Fontana's complexion could have been faked with computer enhancements, but said the image was harmful either way.

 "[T]he effect is the same: H&M tells us we should be very tan on the beach," it said.

Foam for fellas: Bath & Body Works' line of anti-bacterial gentle foaming hand soaps for men.

What exactly is it with women and soap? Put some of the stuff — soap, skin moisturizer, lotion, hand cream, exfoliating product or any other similarly inclined goop — into a pretty tube or bottle and show it to my wife and she lights up and coos like a doe-eyed newborn. For myself — and like most men, I'd wager — it's not that I'm averse to smelling nice (to say nothing of being clean), but it really isn't that complicated. For most guys like me, it's usually just a matter of using whatever is on hand, even if it's just a humble, generic bar prized from one's local truck stop. If it gets the job done, huzzah. Just don't ask me to get excited about it.

As a senior editor at TODAY.com, however, I work with what some might consider an inordinate amount of women, and my indifference to the allure of specialty soaps is thus often expressed and well-documented. As such, when our style and beauty editor plunked down three bottles of Bath & Body Works' "signature collection" of anti-bacterial gentle foaming hand soap for men on my desk, I was naturally skeptical.  But still, I was curious. What exactly sets hand soap for men apart?  I volunteered to take the three sleek bottles, which sell for $5.50 each, home and give them a try.

My first foray into this new realm involved a quick squirt from the first bottle, "Twilight Woods." Already suspicious of the connotations, given the teenage-vampire-alluding name, I dutifully lathered up. While purportedly "lightly scented with juicy berry, soft mimosa, apricot nectar and warm woods," I found the bold aroma of the soap almost overpowering. It didn't feel like I was washing my hands so much as coating them in fragrance. It's not that the smell was unpleasant, per se, but rather that it was invasive to the point that I felt compelled to wash it off.

As if on cue, there was my second bottle, "Noir." Presumably designed to cater to my self-styled, shadowy masculine mystique, I spread the foamy mix of "sage, coriander, cardamom, white vanilla, vetiver and amber musk" around my palms, expecting ... well, to be honest, I'm not sure what I was expecting from a hand soap called "Noir," given that dark and sepulchral aren't adjectives one normally associates with hygiene. The end results didn't so much remind me of a gritty Raymond Chandler novel or a Nine Inch Nails album so much as a musky bowl of potpourri. Even stronger than "Twilight Woods," "Noir" had a perfumey quality that was inescapable.

At this stage of the experiment, I cheated and went back to my generic, white bar of hand soap for a while, seduced by its purifying (if slightly industrial) simplicity. It may have lacked the olfactory complexities of "Twilight Woods" and "Noir," but isn't that what you want from a hand soap? Simplicity?

Then it happened. One of my kids left the top off a tube of toothpaste, and I suddenly found my hands coated in the viscous stuff. Instead of grasping that bar of soap, I turned my attention to the third bottle, that being the promising blueness of "Ocean." As I reached for it, I imagined a cleansing experience that captured all the crispness and depth such a moniker suggests. "Ocean," however, smelled like no ocean I'd ever swum in, although its robust scent of "cypress, vetiver and yuzu" (and what, pray, tell, is yuzu?) did indeed seem to possess the strength of a tidal surge. Once again, I felt that this heavily scented soap did more to camouflage than to actually clean, and I came away from it feeling like I was sporting a weighty cologne.

I can't help thinking that Bath & Body Works has the best of intentions with these products, and amplifies certain aspects of "Twilight Woods," "Noir" and "Ocean" to mirror the assertive nature of the idealized man. And it's not that they smell bad, once again, but rather that they lack any semblance of nuance, even when used sparingly. Perhaps finesse is inherently a female trait? Obviously, men come in all shapes, sizes and sensibilities, so perhaps my own hygienic habits are not indicative of the rest of my kind, but these soaps have left me asking whether hand soaps really need to sub-divided by gender-appeal, and if so, does a man's hand-soap need to cater to such stereotypes?

Famed hairstylist Vidal Sassoon was found dead in his home on Wednesday.

Noted hairstylist Vidal Sassoon, known for creating the modern “bob,” has died at age 84.

At 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, police were dispatched to Sassoon’s Los Angeles home on Mulholland Drive, where he had died of apparent natural causes, LAPD spokesman Kevin Mailberger confirmed to NBC News. 

The British style icon opened his first eponymous hair salon in 1954, and it grew into a worldwide chain with locations in New York and Los Angeles. 

Sassoon's popularity grew as he promoted his low-maintenance, “wash and wear” hair philosophy, changing the constricting, structured styles of the 1950s to the more free-flowing, creative cuts of the '60s – taking a cue from the women's liberation movement. Sassoon grabbed headlines when he created Mia Farrow’s iconic pixie cut for the 1968 movie, “Rosemary’s Baby” – at a reported cost of $5,000.

In this 1964 photo, clothing designer Mary Quant, one of the leading lights of the British fashion scene in the 1960s, is pictured having her hair cut by hairdresser Vidal Sassoon.

"Women were going back to work, they were assuming their own power," he told the Los Angeles Times in a 1993 interview.  "They didn't have time to sit under the dryer anymore." 

Sassoon moved to the U.S. and sold his name to Proctor & Gamble to produce the popular Vidal Sassoon hair care line.

In 2011, a documentary was made about the style maven’s career, which spanned seven decades. In it, Sassoon shares memories of childhood poverty, living in a ghetto and being shipped away to a Jewish orphanage. His mother encouraged him to go into the hairdressing trade, and at age 14, he started an apprenticeship working as a "shampoo boy."

Sassoon then went to fight in Israel's 1948 War of Independence, continuing on to style success upon his return. But he carried on the battle against anti-Semitism, creating the Vidal Sassoon International Center for the Study of Antisemitism at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. 

It took Sassoon nine years to perfect his styling technique, and he promoted his products with the tag line "If you don't look good, we don't look good."

In an interview with The New York Times in 2011, Sassoon explained the key to being a great hairdresser.

"The ability to look at somebody’s face and body structure," he said. "It’s like sculpture. You eliminate the superfluous."

Nicole Kidman's daughter Faith Margaret is just 18 months old, but she's already a cover girl. The actress appears holding her daughter on a moody and elegant cover of the June issue of Harper's Bazaar Australia. Photos inside the magazine include shots of Kidman with older daughter Sunday Rose.

The editor of the magazine defends Kidman against those who may say the actress shouldn't be exposing her children in this way. Edwina McCann writes that Faith and Sunday Rose came to the photo shoot after waking from their naps, and the photographer took some photos of the family together, intending them solely for Kidman's own album.

"I was shown the versions of her with the children, but with their faces obscured," McCann writes in the magazine. "I fell in love and I wanted our readers -- in fact, everyone -- to see the pictures because they say so much more about Kidman than I am attempting to do right now in words. They are magic, raw and full of intense love, and clearly show her devotion to her children. I went to work convincing her that they deserved to be published, so for those who would criticize, blame me."

While it looks to us as if Kidman's hair, which matches her daughter's in color now, is merely pulled back or hidden behind her coat, some reports say she's already cut it short for a starring role as Princess Grace in the planned movie, "Grace of Monaco."

That film will reportedly focus on the American-born princess' life between 1961 and 1962, and is expected to be released in 2014.

Sometimes Secretary of State Hillary Clinton just wants to be normal and do normal things, like wear her hair in a scrunchie, party with her girlfriends, and go out without a stitch of makeup.

Clinton visited Bangladesh last weekend to promote democracy abroad, popping up at official events in glasses and without makeup (except for a bit of lipstick). Of course, people criticized her; on Monday, Fox News said she looked “tired and withdrawn.” But you know what? She doesn’t really care what they think.

On Tuesday, she explained her personal philosophy to CNN‘s Jill Dougherty:

“I feel so relieved to be at the stage I’m at in my life right now, Jill. Because you know if I want to wear my glasses I’m wearing my glasses. If I want to wear my hair back I’m pulling my hair back. You know at some point it’s just not something that deserves a lot of time and attention. And if others want to worry about it, I let them do the worrying for a change. It doesn’t drive me crazy anymore. It’s just not something I think is important anymore.”

You're supposed to wear something a little out there to the high-fashion Met Costume gala (Kathie Lee called them the "Oscars of the East"). But there's "out there," and then there's "Beyonce, out there."

"This was not my favorite," said Kathie Lee of Our lady of Blue Ivy's very sheer Givenchy beaded number with purple feathered trim. It was less "Love on Top" than "A Couple of Strategically Placed Sequins on Top and Nothing On The Bottom." The ladies showed the dress from a few angles, which left little to the imagination.

"You really do see the whole… Oohhhh," said Hoda, trailing off at a photo of Beyonce's posterior.

I love shoes and shop for them at least once a week online. Fortunately for my bank account, I'm usually not satisfied with what I find. I'll like the material, but not the heel height. I'll like the style but it won't be available in the right color or size.

For shoe-aholics like me, if you're a woman with extra small or large feet or if you need the perfect shoe for a special occasion, designing your pump, sandal, wedge, bootie or flat online may be the way to go. Shoe design sites let you design a shoe from scratch, selecting colors, materials and components to make a one-of-a-kind shoe. Some will also let you tweak an existing design from a design gallery.

When you order your shoe, it will take two to eight weeks for delivery, so make sure to check the delivery schedule. And If the shoe's not quite right, all of the sites will make alterations and some will accept returns. You can also consult with a stylist if you need some help.

The shoes are pricey, coming in on average between $200 to $300, but they are custom-made for you.

On milk & honey you can design your own pump, flat, sandal, wedge or bootie. Once you choose your basic style, you can customize it with toe shape, straps, piping, embellishments, platforms, heel style, straps and backs. Materials include leather, patent leather, pony, snake, printed snake, glitter, metallic, croc, suede, stain, velvet and printed fabrics — quite a selection when you consider there a several choices for each material type. Milk & honey also has pre-designed shoes, some of which you can make simple modifications to, like color or heel height.

Shoes take 6 to 8 weeks for delivery and you can return or exchange them within 30 days if they're unworn; exceptions are special order shoes — fabrics or features not offered on the shoe builder app, wide or narrow shoes and shoes below European size 35 or above size 41.

The Shoe Design Studio has four basic styles: pump, sandal, t-strap and mule. From there you choose the front, back, middle, heel height and platform. Once you have the design done, you select your materials for all of the shoe parts. Choose from glazed, metallic, patent, nubuck, lace, pony, fabric and snake in a variety of colors. The selection isn't huge, but there are some fun options. You can also choose the "Play of Colours" option, which provides more design guidance, and you can chat with a stylist, if you need help.

The Shoe Design studio doesn't accept returns, but they do offer a complimentary alteration and remake service, if you're unsatisfied. They'll also pay for alteration costs at a local shoemaker. Shoes take 4 to 6 weeks to make.

Start with one of 16 basic shoe designs on Shoes of Prey. Then choose toe, back, decoration, heel and height options. You can also customize one of the 177 pre-made designs, a feature I love. For materials, you can choose from cotton, faded leather, patent, pony, leather, shiny leather, suede, glitter, snake, fish, silk and sequins. There's no live help, but once you've selected your first material, the app will make matching, contrasting and neutral material recommendations. Shoes come in European sizes 31 to 49, and you can select narrow and wide widths.

Shoes take about five weeks to make and you can return or exchange them within a year if they're unworn — the one exception being if you order different sizes for each foot. They also offer a complimentary alteration and remake service, if you're unsatisfied. Or they'll pay for alteration costs at a local shoemaker.

After seeing Kathie Lee and Hoda get lasered and lifted, live during the fourth hour's special "Needles, Knives or Nothing" show, you had many questions on our Facebook page about Botox, age spots, scars and more. Here, Dr. Susan Taylor, a dermatologist and plastic surgeon Dr. Sharon Giese, whose specialties include Botox, give you some answers.

Lisa: What is the best treatment for fine lines above the upper lip? 
Dr. Taylor: Lisa, fine lines above the lip are often a result of smoking. If you do smoke, I urge you to talk to your doctor about ways to help you stop. A cream like tretinoin (Retin-A) can help minimize lines above the lip. If you would like to be more aggressive, there are several lasers that can improve the lines. Finally, some of the deeper chemical peels (such as Obagi) may also minimize the upper lip lines. 

Susan: Why am I getting pimples in my late 30s? I never even had it this bad when I was a teen?  
Dr. Taylor: Susan, it sounds like you have adult acne. Acne may begin in your 20s, 30s or 40s and and you may not have had a history of teenage acne. Although it is difficult to determine the exact cause of your acne, possible factors include stress, hormones, certain cosmetics or skin care products. If the problem continues, your dermatologist has many effective treatments. 

Sara: What is the best topical product to help with Melasma (pregnancy mask), that is safe to use when breastfeeding?  
Dr. Taylor: Sara, until you deliver your baby and finish breastfeeding (if you decide to do so) then you should not use acne medication (unless it is prescribed and approved by your ob-gyn doctor). Until that time, continue your cleansing and moisturizing routine and don't forget to cleanse your skin very gently.

Terry: What’s the best over-the-counter product to get rid of dark age spots? Can freckles be lightened? I seem to get more and more as I get older!  
Dr. Taylor: The best OTC products for dark/age spots is an SPF 30 or higher sunscreen. It does not matter if you use products that contain retinol, glycolic acid, peptides or vitamin C (all of which can help these spots) unless you use sunscreen daily and re-apply it every 2 hours if you are in the sun.

Patty: I had a breast reduction and a tummy tuck, done in 2002. I was allergic to the dissolving stitches, and it made my scars very wide. How hard would it be to fix the scars?
Dr. Taylor: Patty, I would suggest that you have a consultation with a plastic surgeon to see how easily your scars can be revised. A scar revision involves cutting the old scars out and then closing the area again with stitches. The difficulty of the procedure depends upon the size and location of your existing scars. In some cases, it is an easy procedure so I would encourage you to speak with a plastic surgeon.

Michael: I have facial lines all around my mouth, eyes and chin. How can I get them to disappear, even if it’s temporary? I’m a stay-at-home mom and definitely can’t afford any surgery!  
Dr. Taylor: Michael, although it is unlikely that you can erase your facial lines, there are some treatments that may help to minimize them. The first step is to use an SPF 30 sunscreen everyday and reapply it every two hours. OTC products that contain ingredients such as retinol and peptides, if used consistently for six months, can make a big difference. 

Jackie: How long does Botox last for and does hair removal work for a long time once treatment is done?  
Dr. Giese: Botox lasts three to four months. Laser hair should see 75% hair reduction for at least 18 months following five treatments. Some patients need more.

Maryellen: What is the difference between Juvederm and Botox?  
Dr. Giese: Juvederm is a filler for wrinkles. Botox is a neurotoxin modulator that relaxes wrinkles, typically between the brows and forehead.

Kelly: Is there a vegan Botox? Plant-based? I don’t want to inject any dead animals into my body, if I don’t eat them either.  
Dr. Giese: Botox is manufactured from bacteria, not an animal.

Stacey: Is it true that Botox is helpful for migraines? 
Dr. Giese: Yes, Botox can be helpful for migraines.

Elizabeth: I am currently under treatment with my neurologist for migraines, using Botox. I am about to get my third treatment, and so far the results are very good. Now I want to get something to get rid of the wrinkles under my eyes to match my smooth forehead (I am 51). What is recommended?  
Dr. Giese: Try a neurotoxin modulator, such as Botox, Dysport, or Xeomin and Dermapen

Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, visited Thame, England to pay tribute to the RAF, of which she is the Honorary Air Commodore, on May 2. She wore a lot of blue.

Camilla pulled a Princess Beatrice on Wednesday when she honored the Royal Air Force — while attending a town parade near a local air base — by wearing an Eeyore-hued blue-gray beret featuring an over-sized navy rose encircled with what looked like Saturn's rings. Like Beatrice's pretzel-antler creation, the noticeable fascinator was fashioned by world-renowned London milliner Philip Treacy.

The Duchess of Cornwall, 64, further accessorized with a pearl necklace, pearl earrings, a blue paisley and polka dot scarf, a blue Anna Valentine coat dress, blue sweater ... i.e, a lot of blue, as it's the RAF's official uniform color.

While it might come off as a little overkill, you gotta hand it to the royal for taking a few risks. Now, how do we get her to toss around a few toilet bowls, ala Dutch Crown Prince Willem-Alexander?
